Taiwanese fighters train at Big Yellow Boxing Gym

TAIWANESE pugs Myung Hung Lee and Chan Ping Yang are honing their skills at the Big Yellow Boxing Gym under the guidance of Christopher “Ping-Ping” Tepora.

“Yes. They will be training here in the gym for a month. They have asked for my help,” Tepora told SunStar Cebu.

Lee and Yang started training at the Big Yellow Boxing Gym last week. Both boxers have been sparring with Big Yellow mainstays Clyde Azarcon and Carlo Demecillo.

Azarcon is deep in training for his World Boxing Foundation minimumweight title fight against veteran Lito Dante at The Flash Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Parañaque City on Aug. 7.

Lee has been fighting in the Philippines since 2017. He made his pro debut in the 2017 in Masbate, in which he stopped Wilbert Rota via a second round stoppage. He won his next six bouts all in the Philippines before suffering his first career loss in 2019. He lost to Matthew Fondales by unanimous decision.

Lee bounced back with a unanimous decision over Jong Sabellina later that year Zamboanga Sibugay.

Lee hasn’t stepped inside the ring since. Lee has a record of 8-1 with five knockouts.

Yang, on the other hand, is still an amateur pug that plans to turn pro according to Tepora. Tepora will be giving both Lee and Yang fights here in the Philippines.
