A 38-YEAR-OLD man accused of sexually molesting a five-year-old girl was arrested by police in Albor town, Bohol past 10 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022.
The girl was brought to the Pink Room of Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City for an examination.
Senior Master Sergeant Roselle Olar of Albor Police Station said that Amber (not her real name) was left alone in their house in Barangay Cantiguib, Albor around 8 p.m. Monday as her parents were busy attending to the participants of youth camp activity in their area when the 38-year-old suspect, only identified as Junrey, came in, brought the girl to a room and then started caressing her.
Junrey reportedly served as marshal in the youth camp activity.
The parents immediately asked for police assistance after knowing about the painful experience of their child.
"Matod sa parent sa victim nga gihagkan daw ang bata, gihuboan ug gipasulod ang ‘ari’ sa suspek ngadto na sa bata, apan tungod siguro nga dili masulod, murag ang gibuhat sa suspek, murag gi ugsok-usok ang iyaha ngadto na sa vagina sa bata," Olar said.

Junrey was later arrested by Albor police during a hot pursuit operation at 9 p.m. on Remolador Extension, Tagbilaran City.
