PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will visit the province of Abra, which was hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake on Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said.

She said Marcos will also visit the neighboring provinces, which also incurred damage, if necessary.

Marcos in a Facebook post assured the immediate response and assistance of the government to the affected population.

Initial reports showed various major damage in infrastructure in the affected regions up north.

Occurrence of landslides, which resulted in road closure, particularly in the Cordillera region, has also been reported.
