Argument leads to stabbing in Bohol

AN argument between two persons has led to the stabbing of another in Barangay Basdacu, Loon town, Bohol on Tuesday at 7 p.m., July 26, 2022.

Staff Sergeant Joseph Vincent Arocha of Loon Police Station identified the suspect as Adriano Petos, 64, of Purok 5 of the said barangay and the victim as Roel Bajade, 46.

Arocha said Petos helped cook food for the birthday celebration at the house of his neighbor.

After cooking, he went outdoor to cool himself down, but instead got engaged in an argument with Bajade, a birthday guest, for unknown reason.

To avoid further trouble, Petos left the area but later came back with a knife and stabbed Bajade, who was slightly hit in the face as he was able to parry the attacks.

Petos voluntarily surrendered himself when the police arrived.

The knife that he used in the crime, however, was not recovered by the police.

The suspect will be facing an attempted murder charge. (BBT, TPT)
