LAPU-LAPU City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan has ordered the preparation of the Collapsed Structure Search & Rescue Team under the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) to help the victims of the magnitude 7 earthquake that hit Luzon on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.
In a social media post Wednesday afternoon, Chan said they are closely coordinating with the Office of Civil Defense in Central Visayas with regards to the matter.
“Kon duna na’y gi signal gikan sa ilaha, ready na ang atong team nga molupad aron motabang kanila,” said Chan.
This, as he was saddened by the earthquake that hit Abra province and affected several areas in Luzon, noting its similar intensity that also affected Bohol and Cebu in 2013. (MKG)
