DSWD-Zamboanga Peninsula gets new vehicle

ZAMBOANGA. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Zamboanga Peninsula gets a boost in terms of mobility to carry out its task in times of calamity and other services as the agency receives Thursday, July 28, a new truck from the office of Senator Christopher Lawrence Go. THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Zamboanga Peninsula got a boost in terms of mobility to carry out its task in times of calamity and other services.

This, as the DSWD-Zamboanga Peninsula received a 10-wheeler wingvan from the office of Senator Christopher Lawrence Go through DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo.

Lawyer Sitti Raifah Pamaloy-Hassan, DSWD-Zamboanga Peninsula director, said the truck arrived aboard a commercial vessel at the local port early Thursday, July 28.

The turnover and inspection of the P3.9 million vehicle was also witnessed by Sittie Aisa Askalani, crisis intervention unit chief, and Rolando Cueva, supply and property chief, aside from Hassan.

Hassan said the new vehicle will help augment in the transport of family food packs during calamities and other necessary services. (SunStar Zamboanga)
