THIRTY-FIVE grantees of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental’s Dualtech Scholarship Program are set to study Electromechanics Technology Course at the Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. in Calamba, Laguna.

They belong to the sixth batch of scholars, sponsored by the provincial government for a two-year study at Dualtech, in collaboration with Buglas Foundation Inc. As the former’s Bacolod-based partner organization.

The scholars signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City Wednesday, July 27.

It was witnessed by Negros Occidental Scholarship Program (NOSP) Head Karen Dinsay, Roger Sarmiento of Buglas Foundation, and Joan Sayson, teacher-in-charge of the Maricalum Farm School in Sipalay City.

The qualified scholars are from the cities of Sipalay and La Carlota, and the towns of Don Salvador Benedicto, Manapla, Hinigaran, Murcia, Valladolid, and E.B. Magalona.

They are set to leave the province in August this year.

After two years, the scholars will graduate as electromechanics technicians and will have the chance to be employed in over 140 partner-companies of Dualtech. (With Capitol reports)
