Atty. Ma. Tiffany T. Cabigon: Determination and hard work pay off

LAWYER Ma. Tiffany T. Cabigon has achieved her goals in life through hard work and determination to finish the courses that she chose - with flying colors.

She excelled in her Bachelor of Science in Criminology by graduating Summa Cum Laude, and Batch Valedictorian at the University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos in Bacolod City.

The course is male-dominated but she embarked on it by having a strong determination to finish her studies and excelled academically.

During her college days, she joined many competitions that tested her academic adeptness and proficiency. And what happened?

Cabigon became the College of Criminal Justice Education-Debate Team Captain, named Champion/Best Speaker/Best Debater-Atubangay Rekoleto Debate Competition in 2014 and the Champion in the Philippine Criminology Association of the Philippines (PCAP) National Debate Competition also in the same year.

She was named the Best Speaker-Philippine Criminology Association of the Philippines (PCAP) National Debate Competition in 2014, and was one of the Most Outstanding Criminology Students in the Philippines the following year.

The lawyer was the Philippine Criminology Association of the Philippines-Best Researcher and 2nd Best Presenter entitled: “Disaster Management and Response of Barangay Punta Taytay: basis for an evacuation mapping plan” 2015.

She bagged the Best Oral Research Presentation and Outstanding Research in Social Science University of Negros Occidental Research Exposition entitled in “Disaster management and response of Barangay Punta Taytay: Basis for an evacuation mapping plan” in 2016.

She served as the Regional Criminology Student Congress Vice-President for Negros Occidental (2016) and a Leadership Awardee (2016) and the Editor-in-Chief of The Law Enforcers Magazine.

What a long list of academic achievements that she earned due to her hard work and determination to render a sterling academic performance while in college.

But on a different page, she was also the 1st Runner-up at the Ms. Freshmen 2012 Pageant.

But she never stopped there. She enrolled herself in the School of Law at the University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos in Bacolod City with the same passion to finish it with flying colors.

Two years ago, she graduated from the College of Law as class Valedictorian in 2020 and passed the bar exam.

During her high school days, she was a scholar of prominent Filipino singer Mr. Jose Mari Chan at St. Joseph School-La Salle and was on the Taekwondo Varsity Team.

As a practicing lawyer, her mission is to uphold justice and fairness in her law practice.

Named the Grand Law Debate Rebuttal Speaker in 2020, she thanked her family for all the love and support extended to her and God for sustaining her.*
