Pampanga logs 1,142 active COVID-19 cases

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO— Pampanga has recorded an increase in active Covid 19 cases over the past few days.

The active cases of corona virus in the province reached 1,142 as of Saturday, July 30.

This, after the provincial government recorded 122 new cases on the same day.

The Department of Health’s (DOH) said the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic reached 90,942 with 87, 943 patient recoveries.

Corona virus-related deaths in Pampanga have not increased from the 1,857 recorded cases since last month, according to DOH.

Pampanga has reported some 1,057 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days.

Angeles City reported another 260 cases for the same period.

No virus-related death was recorded in the last 14-day in the city.

Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a slight increase in the number of bed occupancies.

The rate of occupancy in the region is currently at 20.6 percent, significantly higher than in previous months.

This means that 141 of the total 542 hospital beds in Pampanga devoted to coronavirus cases are currently occupied.

Some 32 health facilities out of the 45 in Pampanga are currently at a safe level despite the slight increase in cases.

The occupancy rate in two health facilities is at a critical level while the other two are at a moderate level.
