Provincial board condoles with family of late Sasmuan mayor

SASMUAN--The Pampanga Provincial Board (PB) yesterday passed a resolution expressing its condolences to the family of the late former Sasmuan Mayor Nardo Velasco who died on Sunday due to health complications.

Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab moved for the passing of the resolution as she extolled the late mayor's humility. She said that Velasco began his political career as mayor the same time when she served as mayor of Lubao.

Velasco served as mayor for three terms before being elected as vice mayor of Sasmuan in the local 2022 elections.

Sasmuan Mayor Catalina Cabrera expressed grief over the demise of Velasco. She thanked the late mayor for his service to the people of Sasmuan thanking the later for his brief support and stint as vice mayor of the town.

Also, former Second District Representative Mikey Arroyo, in a Facebook post, expressed sympathy over the death of Velasco.
