THE Department of Agriculture (DA) for Central Luzon, under the Rice Banner Program, together with the Provincial Agriculture Office of the Province of Tarlac held a Fertilizer Merchants Meeting and Training on Intervention Management Platform (IMP) for fertilizer merchants.
The purpose of the meeting is to update fertilizer merchants on the new guidelines that will be implemented for the 2022 National Rice Program - Fertilizer Discount Voucher Support program and to prevent and correct problems experienced by farmers in obtaining their aid.
The Fertilizer Discount Voucher is a DA program for farmers registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture or RSBSA and received rice seed.
An estimated 50 fertilizer shop owners attended the training.
New proposals regarding voucher distribution, merchant accreditation, and the use of IMP are shared here.
According to Billy Roy Aquino of the Regional Rice Banner Program, the discount voucher can only be used once and can be exchanged at any accredited fertilizer merchants.
