THE City Government of Iloilo has implemented another round of drainage declogging operations in the metropolis while giving temporary jobs to recipients.
Mayor Jerry Treñas thanked Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the big help to beneficiaries through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (Tupad).
Some 288 workers have been hired to conduct drainage systems clean-up drive all over the city from August 1 to 15. They will be paid P450 per day or P6,750 for 15 days.
The Public Employment Service Office already oriented the workers who are assigned to augment the declogging activities of City Engineer’s Office. (PR)
