Works for Negros Occidental, Guam sisterhood underway

NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson recently met with the president and chief executive officer of Guam Visitors Bureau at the Bien Binidu Luncheon in Manila in honor of the friendly relations between the Philippines and Guam.

The luncheon was held at The Atrium at Enderun Colleges, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig, along with Negros Occidental Executive Assistant to the Governor and Public Information Officer Charina Magallanes – Tan, Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena, San Carlos City Mayors Renato Gustilo, Bago City Mayor Nicholas Yulo, and delegations from Guam.

The group discussed ways to connect as sister cities following Lacson’s recent visit to Guam as per invitation from Consul General Patrick John Hilado of the Office of the Philippine Consulate General in Guam.

The governor was invited to be the guest of honor and speaker for Guam’s Independence Day celebration.

Also, to promote Negros Occidental’s tourism and investment opportunities and possible partnership in the field of tourism, agriculture and investment opportunities. (PR)
