Drug syndicate member arrested in Zamboanga City

AN ALLEGED member of a drug syndicate was arrested in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the suspect as Nuralden Adjarae, 48, a resident of Santa Catalina village, Zamboanga City.

Lorenzo said Adjarae was arrested in a buy-bust operation Wednesday, August 3, in Sitio Asinan, Kasanyangan village, Zamboanga City.

He said that Adjarae, listed as high-value target, is a member of the Alhakim Hasan drug syndicate operating in villages at the east coast of Zamboanga City.

The east coast covers 61 of this city’s 98 villages.

Lorenzo said seized from Adjarae were some 5.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P37,400.

He said the Alhakim Hassam drug syndicate gets supply of illegal drugs from the province of Sulu.

He ordered different police stations in the east coast of this city to continue tracking down the drug syndicate and arrest its leader and members. (SunStar Zamboanga)
