ANGELES CITY A cancer patient from Barangay Cutud here received financial assistance from two city officials recently.

City Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel personally handed to the patient, Janette Garcia, the funds derived from their talent fees as Beautéderm Ambassadors.

Calaguas and Manuel were joined by Angeles City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Head Irish Bonus-Llego.

Garcia, 33, is a mother of three kids and has been fighting colon cancer.

Calaguas and Manuel met Garcia thru a personal message and post made by her sister Christine Garcia.

Calaguas shared that Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., also sent personal financial help to Garcia and her family.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office is also now processing her financial medical assistance.

The Garcia family thanked the local executives for reaching out to them, exerting efforts to visit them despite their busy schedules at work.

Her husband, Christopher Balagtas, said the help will prolong the life of his wife, who is battling cancer. He is also asked for prayers for his wife.

This is not the first time that the two local executives sent medical support. For the past two years, they have been helping kids with hydrocephalus.
