VETERAN actress Cherie Gil passed away Friday, August 5, 2022.
She was 59.
Her passing was announced by actress Annabelle Rama in an Instagram post.
"Cherie Gil just passed away at 5 p.m. today. Please pray for her," Rama wrote in the caption.
The family of Gil is yet to issue a statement.
Gil is notable for her remarkable portrayal of villains in movie and television series.
