The Sherilin-Unisol Mandaue Plastic Men asserted their dominance in the second half to come away with a 94-72 win over the Bogo City Bugoys in the Pilipinas Super League 21-Under VisMin Leg on Friday night at the Cordova Sports Complex.

Mired in a neck-to-neck battle with Bogo City in the first half which ended with Mandaue up by just two, 45-43, the Plastic Men of businessman Richard Mercado turned up their level of play and began their breakaway in the third.

Up by just one, Sherilin suddenly went berserk from the field and went on a massive 20-3 run sparked by the likes of Zylle Cabellon, Joshua Himang, and Santos and Acer Go to put them up by 18, 67-49.

Bogo City tried to fight back and pulled to within 10, 61-71, early in the fourth period but Mandaue answered right back and rattled off 14 straight points to raise their lead to 24, 85-61, with 5:22 remaining in the game.

JZ Dizon led the Plastic Men with 15 points, while Christopher Isabelo had 12, all coming from beyond the arc. Ehman Suarez added 11 markers as Sherilin improved to 4-3.

Romyr Gonzaga led Bogo with 21 points, six rebounds, and five assists but his excellent production could not keep the Bugoys from suffering their seventh loss in a row.

Meanwhile, in the other game, the San Fernando Buffalos routed the Lapu-Lapu City Pantum, 98-77, to improve to 3-4.

Adrian Go had 22 points, six rebounds, and four steals to power San Fernando to the easy win. Jhon Mamalia added 18 points, four boards, and four steals, even as Franzel Basalo produced 14 markers, eight rebounds, and four dimes.

The Pantum fell to 2-5.
