DA conducts goods, livestock cost workshop in Angeles City

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Agriculture for Central Luzon - Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division conducted a workshop regarding the Updating Cost Structure of Provincial Priority Commodities of Central Luzon last August 3 in Angeles City.

The three-day workshop is aimed at discussing the flow of trade, costs, and pricing of chicken, pork, and various types of high-value crops that are prioritized by each province in Central Luzon.

The event was attended by Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension, and Agribusiness Marketing Dr. Eduardo Lapuz Jr. with Supervising Agriculturist Maricel Dullas, Market Specialist III Charito Libut, Agriculturist II Jinky Ciriaco, and Provincial Coordinators of Agribusiness, Livestock and High-Value Crops.

Lapuz revealed how important and timely this workshop is in line with the constant increase in the price of basic commodities in the region.

The activity also aimed to encourage the people to work together to have an adequate supply of food.

Among the topics discussed during the workshop were the Cost Structure of Chicken, the Cost Structure of Hog, the Cost Structure of Eggplant and Tomato, the Cost Structure of Ampalaya, Squash, Chili, and the Cost Structure of Mango and Onion.
