THE aftermath of Typhoon Odette left many homes and establishments in Cebu devastated. While Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation and its network of mobility stations weren’t severely affected, the energy company committed to rebuild and support the region’s recovery.
Within two weeks after Typhoon Odette hit, 58 out of the 63 affected stations were operational, with its service champions ready to serve. This is reflective of the patience and resiliency of that Cebuanos are known for.
Shell Robinsons—one of its worst-hit stations—was not only restored but made better and stronger to continue to be a reliable partner Cebu can lean on during calamities, and a pillar that supports its recovery and growth.

Five months after Typhoon Odette, Shell added five new stations across access points around Cebu: Shell Hernan Cortes, Shell Bridges Town Plaridel, Shell Lutopan Toledo, Shell Uling Road Naga, and Shell North Gateway to go beyond recovery and help spur greater development in the region.
Shell Uling Road Naga is a popular stopover for tourists traveling to the South of Cebu to visit the whale sharks in Oslob or enjoy the Kawasan falls.
Meanwhile, Shell North Gateway opened as the energy company's first “Site of the Future” in the Visayas. Its customer-centric design invites customers to stay and enjoy the best of what Shell’s mobility stations have to offer.
The station’s integrated retail offers and specialized site features, built with sustainability in mind, transform it from a fuel station into a one-stop mobility destination. This site is also conveniently nestled between destinations North of Cebu such as Catmon and Bantayan Island.
Pilipinas Shell further strengthens its commitment to continue powering progress for Filipinos in the region of Cebu through the reopening of affected stations and the launch of five new mobility stations to service more Cebuanos and tourists.
