Ang Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MCDRRMO) nimando sa Barangay Emergency Response Teams (BERTs) sa dakbayan nga mopaubos sa heightened alert human sa sundosunod nga mga pagbunok sa uwan sa Metro Cebu.

Si Ybañez nibutyag nga ang kusog nga pag-uwan nimugna og pagbaha sa mga dapit sa Mandaue, labi na sa flood-prone areas sama sa Barangays Centro, Looc, Opao, Umapad, Cambaro, Subangdaku, ug Paknaan.
Dul-an sa 160 ka mga pamilya sa Sitio Tambis ug Laray sa Barangay Umapad ug 11 gikan sa Barangay Ibabao ang namakwit tungod sa kusog nga pag-uwan.
Si Ybañez nagkanayon nga ang direktiba gitumong sa BERTs nga estrikto nga magbantay sa kausaban sa panahon ug pagtabang sa MCDRRMO sa pagpamakwit kon gikinahanglan na.
“They (BERTs) are the ones who call us when there is a need for evacuation and guide us where to go because it is their area. So, it is important that they initiate an evacuation if highly needed because there are times the MCDRRMO personnel might arrive delayed because there are instances that some roads become unpassable due to flood,” matod ni Ybañez.
“They should be on call as much as possible,” dugang niya.
