NEGROS Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the inauguration of the three-storey school building and covered court of the Central Philippines State University (CPSU) – Hinigaran Campus located at Barangay Gargato in Hinigaran town Monday, August 8, 2022.

He was joined by Hinigaran Vice Mayor Mary Grace Arceo, Campus Administrator Gregorio Predo, Hernan Julian Gatuslao, representative of Fifth District Rep. Dino Yulo, and Mary Ann Colmenares.

“The inauguration of the three-storey building and covered court is a welcome development in our goal to enhance and strengthen our educational system, as we keep pace with the tide of digital transformation and the demands of providing quality and relevant education,” Lacson said.

The governor also thanked the teachers and the entire CPSU system for all the efforts to educate the Negrense youth despite the challenge brought about by the pandemic.

Lacson said that Negros Occidental, as an agricultural province, is a pride of every Negrense, and that CPSU is the first agricultural educational institution in the country.

“You can count on your provincial government to extend the necessary support you need to make CPSU one of the most relevant educational institutions in the country,” he added.

CPSU-Hinigaran will implement limited face-to-face classes this year.

Programs offered include Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Secondary Education in Mathematics, and Bachelor of Elementary Education. (PR)
