Dear Dr. Fritz,
Good day to you! I have been trying to lose weight. And I have already achieved my ideal weight. But, the problem is, my belly fats don’t seem to cooperate. Why is this happening? Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
Jenny K.
======Dear Jenny K.,
Well, there are a lot of reasons why those fats are clinging n your belly. Here are some:
1. You have the wrong food
Starchy carbohydrates, like pasta and bad fats, like those from red meat can inflate your belly. So, stay away from them. Splurge instead on veggies, lean proteins, fish, nuts, and avocados.
2. You are eating too much
Blame your eating habit; you are eating more than the suggested portions contributing to those extra flabs around your waist.
3. Smoking
This can lead to more abdominal and visceral fat.
4. Stress
When you are stressed, the hormone cortisol gets in and stays in your belly. So, chill it out.
5. Your lack exercise
If your waist line extends more than 35, you need moderate physical activity, like walking for at least two and a half hours a week, or vigorous exercise, like running for one hour and fifteen minutes and strength training for at least twice a week. But, you have to check with your doctor first before you begin with any exercise program.
6. You have done wrong exercises
Choose aerobic exercise, like walking or running. These exercises can burn fats best. But, be sure to make it a habit for you to get the best results. So, don’t just do it for a day or a week, or a month.
Opps, there’s more. But, we’re out of space for now. Until next time.
