DepEd: Over 712K already enrolled for SY 2022-2023

THE Department of Education-Davao Region (DepEd-Davao) reported that as of August 3, 2022, a total of 712,620 students from both public and private schools in Davao Region have already enrolled for the School Year (SY) 2022-2023.

DepEd-Davao said in a Facebook post that they already reached 51 percent of the number of students enrolled during SY 2021-2022, which was at 1,395,893 students.

Data from the agency showed that 274,187 students have enrolled in Davao City, which is followed by Davao de Oro with 72,009, Davao del Norte with 66,364, Davao del Sur with 58,752, Davao Oriental with 51,764, and Davao Occidental with 32,459.

For the key cities in the region, Tagum City recorded 54,629 students that have already enrolled for the upcoming school year, Panabo City with 33,973, Digos City with 26,629 students, Island Garden City of Samal with 19,573, and Mati City with 19,281 students.

For public schools, 43,518 students are enrolled under Kinder, 309,261 in elementary, 195,430 in junior high school, and 74,214 in senior high school.

Meanwhile, in private schools, 4,032 students are enrolled in Kinder, 18,809 in elementary, 27,602 in junior high school, and 39,754 in senior high school.

DepEd said that out of 712,620 enrolled students, 350,428 are males while 362,192 are females. KSD
