CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The number of active Covid 19 cases in Pampanga province has increased to 1, 230 as of August 8.
This after local health units reported 121 new cases.
Corona virus-related deaths in Pampanga have also increased to 1, 862.
Three of the fatalities were recorded in the last 14 days.
The Department of Health (DOH) said the total number of confirmed cases in Pampanga since the start of the pandemic reached 92, 039 with 88, 947 patient recoveries.
Pampanga has reported some 1,248 coronavirus cases in the last 14 days.
Angeles City alone reported 283 cases for the same period.
Majority of the 45 health facilities in the province are now experiencing a slight increase in the number of bed occupancies.
The rate of occupancy in Pampanga health facilities is currently at 21.1 percent, significantly higher than in previous months.
This means that 147 of the total 697 hospital beds in Pampanga devoted to coronavirus cases are currently occupied.
Some 32 health facilities of the 45 in Pampanga are currently at a low-risk level despite the slight increase in cases.
