ABOUT P204,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Juan, Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental on Saturday noon, December 4, 2021.
Police Lieutenant Ruel Piniero, deputy chief of police of Pontevedra town, identified the arrested suspect as Abigail Arellano, 18, of Barangay Cambaog, Hinigaran town.
Piniero said the joint operation conducted by the police and the members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit-Western Visayas arrested Arellano after she allegedly transacted with a poseur buyer to sell sachets of suspected shabu in exchange for P12,000.
Recovered from Arellano upon her arrest were sachets of suspected shabu weighing 30 grams, police records showed.
Arellano was detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
