Masantol folks get medical services, goods from Capitol

MASANTOL Thousands of residents in this coastal town recently received free medical services and food packs from the provincial government of Pampanga.

The Alagang Nanay Health Mission visited yesterday flooded coastal barangays here to deliver the medical services and food packs to hundreds of families affected by the flooding brought about by the recent monsoon rains.

Some 5,431 food packs were handed to the beneficiaries by Governor Dennis Pineda during the event attended by local government officials.

The mission benefited the barangays of Alauli, Bagang, Balibago, Nigui, Sagrada, and Sapang Kawayan.

Doctors from district hospitals conducted health check-ups and consultations among residents of the said barangays for the detection and prevention of illnesses.

Individuals who were diagnosed with illnesses will be scheduled for operations - major and minor surgery for free.

The health mission also offered free blood chem, urinalysis, x-ray, CT scan, and 2D echo.

Village chiefs have expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Government of Pampanga for bringing the health services of the Capitol closer to the people through Alagang Nanay Health mission.
