Weekends are sometimes for buffet indulgence

ASIDE from its retreat with nature, conservation efforts, and Davao chocolate experience, another thing that makes Malagos Garden Resort a city staple for tourism is its food and drinks offerings.

When I visit this resort, especially on a weekend, I am always looking forward to its generous buffet setup. Who wouldn’t? It’s almost everything one could ask for to fill a hungry stomach after a long city ride and/or a fun-filled day tour.

Just recently, August 6, being an innovation-driven resort that Malagos is, a new and improved weekend lunch buffet was introduced to the market elevating the gastronomic experience for visitors.

If you think the buffet setup of Malagos was already superb before, then better prepare your tummy as the resort’s executive chef Val Villarin is adding more stations giving tourists and locals more reasons to keep on coming back to experience their Weekend Lunch Buffet.

At P799, one can already enjoy the buffet’s 12 stations: Soup & Bread; Pinoy Street Food; Appetizer; Salad Bar; Pinoy Sorbetes; Cakes, Native Kakanin and Chocolate Fountain; Rice, Vegetable and Savory Dish; Pasta; Grilled and Carving; and Tempura Station.

Some of the stations like Pinoy Street Food and Grilled and Carving feature live and on-the-spot cooking making the experience of diners better.

The sumptuous buffet also has Filipinos’ fiesta must – Lechon. This alone is a steal, value for money at its finest.

My personal favorites are Cakes, Native Kakanin and Chocolate Fountain; Grilled and Carving; and Tempura stations.

What sets Malagos’ buffet from the others is the whole experience beyond dining. Aside from the gastronomic trip, diners can also enjoy the beauty of nature and the amenities of the resort. Those who avail of the buffet have access to the resort’s well-known spots as well as witness the famous animal show perfect for families and barkadas.

To those who haven’t set foot at the resort yet and to those who already tried Malagos’ buffet before, its new weekend lunch buffet is another compelling reason to come and revisit.
