MEMBERS of the Parian Police Station arrested three persons in different operations on Saturday night, August 13, 2022.
They first arrested Jerome Alburo, 38, and his live-in partner Hilda Cullamat, 47, outside a boarding house in Barangay Parian, Cebu City past 7 p.m.
They recovered several sachets of suspected shabu from the suspects during the buy-bust. They also found an unlicensed .38 revolver in Alburo’s possession.
According to police, Alburo and Cullamat do not live in the neighborhood, but actually reside in Socorro, Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City.
Later that night, police nabbed Francis Valendez, 35, along Jakosalem Street in Barangay Kamagayan, Cebu City.
Valendez, a resident of Sitio Ponce, Barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City, allegedly yielded several packs of suspected shabu.
Major Efren Diaz Jr., the station’s chief who led the operations, said they seized a total of 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,000, based on the standard drug price, on Saturday night.
The three suspects will be charged with violating Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Alburo will also be charged with violating RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, for illegal possession of firearms. (BBT)
