THE Davao City Covid-19 task Force said those who are vaccinated with the two primary doses and one booster dose are considered fully vaccinated based on guidelines from the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Nag bago na, this is as of June 4 (This is from the new guidelines as of June 4),” Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said on August 12 during a radio interview.

Previously, fully-vaccinated individuals against Covid-19 meant they have been administered with the first and second dose without the need for a booster dose.

Those who are fully vaccinated based on the new guidelines, will not be required to isolate themselves if they are in close contact with a Covid-19 positive patient.

“Kung close contact ka whether F1, F2 or F3, wala na necessary nga quarantine saimoha basta wala ka gibati but you are encouraged to observe symptoms within one week. Pero kung wala lang, dili necessary mag pa-swab or quarantine (If you are a close contact whether F2, F2, or F3, quarantine si not necessary as long as you don’t have symptoms but you should observe for any within a week. If there is none, then you don’t need a swab test or quarantine),” Schlosser explained.

If a fully vaccinated individual is Covid-19 positive but asymptomatic isolation is required for seven days beginning on the date when the specimen sample is collected for the RT-PCR test.

If symptomatic, isolation is still seven days beginning when the symptoms first appeared.

Similar guidelines also apply to partially vaccinated people, whether asymptomatic or symptomatic, but ten days of isolation is required rather than seven days.

For those required to quarantine, Schlosser said home isolation is required following guidelines from Executive Order No. 11 Series of 2022.

Meanwhile, Schlosser said the barangay health emergency response team, as well as the safety and security cluster, have been oriented with the changes.

New information campaign materials will also be released soon to serve as guidelines for the public.

At the same time, the spokesperson also encourages Dabawenyos to be honest with their symptoms and their status once they get infected with Covid-19 as it will help monitor better the coronavirus situation in the city.

“Luag na atong health protocols but gi awhag gyod nato sila na maging honest (Our protocols are less strict but we really encourage everyone to be honest),” she said. ICM
