1. Cafe Uno’s Kadayawan Weekend Buffet
Café Uno welcomes the month of August in full bounty with festive culinary delights composed of local favorites and traditional dishes inspired by the tribes of Davao. Must try are the Chicken Piyangyang and Itula Itum inspired by the Tausug Tribe, the Nilotlot na Manok inspired by the Bagobo Tagabawa Tribe, and the Chicken Pastil, a Maguindanawon specialty.
To spark excitement, Chef Gilbert Banday added “street food” selections like the Barbecued Chicken and Kwek-kwek, and dishes that one can’t say no to, like the Chicharong Bulaklak and the Pansit Palabok, a nostalgic dish for the chef, and the Humba Dabawenyo.
Crossing over from the breakfast buffet to the lunch and dinner buffets is the insanely delicious Beef Tapa. What makes this dish extra special is it uses the Tuba Vinegar, sourced from the coconut trees on the hotel’s gardens, in its recipe.
Your favorite Pinoy kakanin lands on the dessert spread along with the staples. Suman, Kutsinta, Maja Blanca, Palitaw, Ube Turon, and Durian Panna cotta are as tempting as the Western sweet bites on the buffet.

2. Cafe Uno’s Filipino Merienda Buffet
You don’t have to wait for the weekend to enjoy a buffet meal at Cafe Uno. This month, the buffet fiesta extends beyond the first meal of the day to include the mid-afternoon snack time. If you’re craving for Pinoy favorites, then Cafe Uno is the spot to go. Filipino delicacies such as, biko, puto with dinuguan, pancit, palabok, etc. are on the spread and you can have as much as you can. Make your weekdays extra fun and flavorful!

3. La Parilla’s Bilao Bundles
Here’s something different at the popular sea-view, al fresco grilling joint of the hotel. Instead of ala carte, how about ordering the August offering with everything on it? The for-sharing Bilao Bundles come in two varieties- All Meat Bonanza and Seafood Fusion. So whatever food type you’re fond of, you can have the best of everything in order. But no one’s stopping you from ordering both bilaos for a totally filling fiesta celebration!

4. Pizza of the Month
Pizzailo is synonymous to good pizza. One of the classic flavors can turn anyone into a regular diner. The al fresco pizza joint is also known for its unique concoctions, and continuing on the Davao inspired recipes, the Humba Dabawenyo tops this month’s edition — Humba Dabawenyo Pizza. Enjoy the sweet, savory pork Humba on a traditional pizza base of tomato sauce and cheese.
