Unitec Pipes routed the Modern Windows, 84-56, to secure the last ticket to the semifinals of the Cebu Architects Basketball Club 2022 last Sunday at the PAREF Springdale gym.
Up against an undermanned Modern Windows squad that was missing several key players, Unitec pulled away in the third canto where they outscored their opponents, 18-5, to build a 62-41 lead.
Unitec continued to impose their will and even raised their lead to a high of 32, 73-41, en route to grabbing the win. They will next face off against the unbeaten Boysen Paints in the semifinals with the latter holding a crucial twice-to-beat advantage.
Mark Paradero led Unitec in scoring with 17 points while Rhyan Pepito was a monster on the boards, hauling down 23 rebounds to go with his 13 points. Ferdinand Tiro added 12 points and nine boards, while Mito Parba had 10 points and 11 rebounds to power Unitec to the victory.
Lemuel Aspacio had 26 points and nine rebounds for Modern Windows.
The other semis match-up will see AEG take on Buildrite.
