Clark investors, locators extend aid to quake-affected folks in Abra

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Members of the Clark Investors and Locators Association, Inc. (CILA) recently pooled their resources together to extend aid to quake-affected residents in Abra.

CILA President Cristopher Magdangal said a total of 515 households in Barangay Labaan in San Quintin, Abra received relief packs including 50 pieces of big size water-proof "tarapal" or "tolda," 200 sets of pillows and blankets, plus clothes for kids and adults.

"CILA is one with the people of Abra on their road to recovery following last month’s magnitude 7.0 earthquake. That is the reason why we encouraged our members to donate voluntarily. All donations were accounted for, that is why we have something to share with our kababayans in Abra. As Filipino entities, it is our responsibility to help our kababayans who are in dire need, whether inside or outside the Clark Freeport Zone,” he said.

CILA members which pitched in donations included Fiona United Methodist Church, St. Catherine of Alexandria Foundation and Medical Center, Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, Intertech Marketing Sales and Services, Inc., Yokohama Tire Philippines, Inc., Sycip Gorres Velayo and Co., Clark Water Corporation, Medina Flores and Ofrin Law Office, Cargohaus, Inc., and AGX Philippines.

RGG Dream Cargo and Movers, Wind Tunnel, Philippine Academy for Aviation Training, Clark Electric Distribution Corporation, Semirecycling Co., Inc., Amertron, Inc., The Medical City, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medical Center, and Alpha Aviation Group shared goods and cash in the assistance project.

CILA is a non-profit organization that supports and represents its locator-members in policy formulation to make Clark investor-friendly with some 235 members representing 90 percent of the composite amount of investments, exports and employment within the Clark Freeport.
