Zach Huang came up big in crunchtime, scoring a three-point play with four seconds left to lift the Asian Orthopedics-2014 past the Carampatana Food Corp.-2012, 92-90, in overtime in the 25th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) on Tuesday night at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.

Down one, 89-90, after Revrev Diputado canned a booming three-pointer from the right wing, Huang answered right back with a power move inside that saw him get the basket despite getting fouled. The current Chooks-to-Go 3x3 standout then made the bonus free-throw to give 2014 a 92-90 lead with 4.1 seconds left.

2012 had a shot at either tying the game or even winning it but Dave Yu’s jumper fell short while Diputado’s putback came after the final buzzer sounded.

It was a thrilling match between two title contenders in Division C that saw 12 lead changes and 10 ties. 2014 now holds a 6-0 card while 2012 dropped to 2-1.

Huang finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Jair Igna had 23 points, eight boards, and four assists. Gio Laguyo added 17 points and eight assists.
