2,000 jobs at Iloilo City Peso job fair August 26

THE Iloilo City Government will be holding a job fair as part of Iloilo City’s 85th Charter Day celebration with the theme “Forging Stronger Ties in the Community.”

The Public Employment Service Office (Peso) will conduct a Charter Day Job Fair at Robinsons Place Fountain Area in City Proper on August 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Some 2,000 jobs will be offered by 19 business process outsourcing (BPO) firms, 46 local companies and 10 overseas agencies.

Local job openings are call center agents, sales staff, and construction workers, among others.

Mayor Jerry Treňas encouraged jobseekers to apply and avail of the various employment opportunities being offered as the city continues to undertake economic responses to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Peso manager Gabriel Felix Umadhay said applicants should bring two or more copies of their resumes for them to try applying to many possible positions that are fit for their qualifications.

Those interested may check Peso-Iloilo City Facebook Page for jobs listing. (PR)
