A COMPLAINT raised by a resident to Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan led to the arrest of a drug pusher and a companion Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2022.
Police Lieutenant Noah Añana, team leader of the Lapu-lapu City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit, monitored the report and planned the arrest of the suspect, identified as Jovel Estardo Hera, 24.
Also nabbed around 5 p.m. Thursday was Mc Quan Igot Rollon, 38.
Both Hera and Rollon are residents of Purok Balanghoy, Barangay Gun-ob, Lapu-Lapu City.
Seized from them were 15 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) worth P102,000.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Jul Mohammad Jamiri, head of the City Intelligence Unit of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, said Hera was once imprisoned also for selling illegal drugs but was able to post bail, while Rollon had an illegal gambling case. (BBT/LMY)
