OPERATIVES of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested one person and seized some P340,000 worth of illegal drugs in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, a top PDEA official said Friday, August 19, 2022.
Emerson Margate, PDEA regional director, identified the arrested suspect as Jeremiah Galvez Tarro, a resident of Mampang village, Zamboanga City.
Margate said Tarro was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 4:55 p.m. Thursday, August 18, at Suterville in San Jose Gusu village, Zamboanga City
Margate said seized from the suspect were some 50 grams of suspected shabu packed in one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth P340,000, a smartphone, and a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money.
He said that Tarro was detained while charges are set to be filed against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
