ONE person was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in a law enforcement operation for illegal possession of firearm in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Friday, August 19, 2022.
Police Colonel John Francis Encinareal, CIDG regional director, identified the arrested suspect as Rolando Otic, 47.
Encinareal said that Otic was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of a search warrant around 12:26 a.m. Thursday, August 18, in Biason village, Dipolog City.
Seized from the residence of Otic during the intelligence-driven law enforcement operation was an unlicensed caliber .38 revolver with ammunition.
Encinareal said Otic was detained at Dipolog City Police Station pending the filing of formal charges against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
