(Foreword: This is the continuation of our response to Jenny K. on her concern about why she’s not losing her belly fats)
Dear Jenny K.,
Now, here are more reasons why your fats are stuck in your belly.
7. Alcohol is your favorite drink
Any drink with alcohol has carbs and can expand your belly, especially if you are not exercising well.
8. You indulge in sports and energy drinks
These drinks are packed with sugar. This means, calories are also on the rise and they may settle in your belly.
9. You lack water
Drinking more water can hydrate you and help you in your quest for weight loss and cut that belly fat. So, skip those sweetened drinks, even sweetened water.
10. Your genes have it
Genes tell your body where to store those fats. But, that doesn’t mean, you don’t have any more hope. Just make sure to control your calories through the right diet and exercise. And make it a habit.
11. You lack sleep
Please avoid eating at bedtime. They will slow down your metabolism. Moreover, when you are up and awake until the wee hours of the morning, your stress hormones are racing and those fats would dwell in your belly.
12. Don’t keep on measuring your progress with the scale
How you can fit into your clothes is a better measure of your waist size and your progress to weight loss than that of the weighing scale. So, just keep on eating well and exercising right.
Well, I hope this helps. Good luck!
