POLICE operatives have arrested an alleged member of the crime syndicate in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.
The Zamboanga del Sur Police Office identified the arrested suspect as Onsa Mustapha, 38, an alleged member of the Ambol Crime Group.
The group operates in the towns of Dinas, Dimataling and neighboring municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur. It is engaged in illegal drug trade, robbery, carnaping and killings.
The police said that Mustapha was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of serving warrant of arrest around 2:15 p.m. Monday in the village of Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.
Mustapha has standing warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail, the police said.
