Dr. Joselito Diaz has been designated as Victorias City’s new Culture and Ethics Officer.

No less than Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez welcomed Diaz, whom he said an addition to the dynamic governance of the locality.

Having many years of experience as a guidance and evaluation center director of the University of St. La Salle, he will assist the Victorias City’s workforce on Psychological Development focusing more on mental health.

Benitez said that Diaz will also be in-charge building culture and ethics which will be up to standard over City employees and eventually their constituents.

This is because Benitez is planning to put up a mental health desk for everyone who needs consultation especially on anxiety brought about by work and the pandemic.

Diaz is a licensed Guidance Counselor and a Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) national awardee for his exemplary and voluntary commitment in uplifting the quality of education of private schools in the Philippines.

Recipient of the Meritorious Award for Exemplary Performance and recognized as an outstanding administrator/mentor of the University of St. La Salle - Bacolod, Dr. Diaz has also received special trainings.

This include those from the certified American Board expert in handling trauma for Critical Incident Stress Debriefing; La Salle Green Hills in Manila for his Lasallian Leadership Formation Program; United Board of Christian Education in Hong Kong for Service Learning Program Curriculum Program Implementation; and University of the Philippines (UP) Los Banos for National Service Training program Implementers.

His school-based committee involvements include appointment as Committee Chairperson on Area of Administration in preparation for PAASCU Re-Accreditation Survey in 2017-2018, and Committee Chairperson on Area of Governance and Management for the preparation for the Commission on Higher Education Institutional Sustainability Assessment Self-Evaluation Document (CHED-ISA SED) in 2017-2018.

Currently, Diaz is affiliated with the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) as and accreditor and member of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PCGA); Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs Services (PAPSAS); Extra Ordinary Lay Minister of Holy Communion - Diocese of Bacolod; University of St. La Salle - Human Resource Trainers Pool; and Lasallian Formator of the Lasallian Adult Formation Team (LAFT).

Diaz said that he is planning to conduct a regular monthly motivational talks and bi-monthly video on psychological enrichment for Victoriahanons.
