THE Rotary Club (RC) of Bacolod - East hits a four-in-one celebration during the 40th installation of its new officers, the Rotaract and Interact Clubs and the visit of the organization’s governor at O Hotel in San Sebastian - Mabini Streets, Bacolod City, Friday, August 26, 2022.
Immediate past president Jose Lizael "Nonoy" Lampines turned over the leadership to the new club president lawyer John Deles, who will chart the direction for the implementation of the various projects of the club, anchored on the seven areas of focus of Rotary International District 3850.
District Governor John Michael "Kano" Ng graced the occasion along with District Governor - Nominee Ma. Ester "Mate" Espina, Past District Governors Jundad Legislador, Phil Abello, Louis Mariano "Louie" Gonzaga and Everette Olivan of District 3820.
"I am humbled by your trust and confidence in me to be your club president,'' Deles said, adding that he together with his wife Felma and children Johfel Ray and Johfel May continue to seek the RC members’ prayers and support.
He said that he needed the club members’ support as they all stand firm in fostering a spirit of cooperation in the service of their fellow members, the community, the country and humanity as a whole.
For his part, Lampines said he wanted to personally thank the club for his life-changing team for a job well done.
“It is now my final duty to pass on the club leadership and the gavel to our new President John P. Deles, and together with him, let us all together live with our current Rotary Theme -- Imagine Rotary," Lampines stressed.
Ng administered the oath of office of new RC Bacolod - East officers while the Rotaract Club of Bacolod-East headed by Charter President Stephen Noel T.
Montalvo and the Interact Club of Bacolod-East Charter President Johfel Ray R. Deles and their fellow officers were inducted into office by President Deles.
The Governor expressed his elation to his fellow Rotarians in the RCBE who continue to inspire others through Rotary.
Seamless Seminar
The Rotary Club of Metro Bacolod hosted the conduct of the Seamless Seminar for Rotary Year 2022-2023 held at the Negros Residences on August 27, 2022.
Ng also graced this activity wherein Rotary Clubs officers underwent a whole day seminar on the Rotary Foundation, Membership and Public Image.
