THE Phase 2 of the Agdao Farmer’s Market is being prepared for the possible turnover of its stalls to the vendors this year after it has been 92.3 percent completed, the Davao City Economic Enterprise (CEE) reported.

"Waiting lang pud mi sa Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) nga ma-turn over. Sa among discussion, mura’g naa pay kinahanglan nga i-provide nga equipment sa atong Agdao public market that is why dili pa siya ma-turn over (We are waiting for the DPWH’s go signal. From our last discussion we still need to provide equipment to the Agdao Public Market so that we can process the turnover),” CEE Officer-in-Charge Maximo P. Macalipes Jr. said during the I-speak Press Conference on August 25, 2022.

Macalipes said that the Agdao Farmer’s Market has a total of 494 vendors. He also said that they have already conducted activities to ready them for the eventual turnover of the market.

“We conducted orientation for the renewal of the lease contract, unsa tong mga terms and conditions para if ever ma-turn over ang Agdao Farmers’ Market ready na ang atong mga vendors sa ilahang mga respective nga stall (what are the terms and conditions so by the time that we will turn over the stalls they are all ready),” Macalipes said.

The available stalls on the ground floor, according to Macalipes, are 80 stalls for the meat section; 126 stalls for the fish section; 20 stalls for dressed chicken; nine stalls for ice storage; and 19 stalls for commercial spaces.

While on the second floor, there are 134 stalls and 33 stalls for the dry goods section and 38 stalls for the miscellaneous businesses, such as clinics, boutiques, or open spaces, and two function halls.
