PROPERTY giant Megaworld Corp. is set to turn over the 328 units of its condominium tower, One Regis, inside its 34-hectare The Upper East township development in Bacolod City, to the owners in September 2022.

Megaworld Bacolod Vice President for Sales and Marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong, on the sidelines of the media tour of the condominium tower on Friday, August 26, 2022, said almost all of the units were already sold.

There are only about three units left, Palmares-Fong said, adding that the units were sold at a price of P101,000 per square meter in July 2018 and increased to P204,000 square meter or about 102 percent as of August 26, 2022.

“Most of the occupants are young professionals and retirees from Bacolod City and neighboring localities,” she added.

One Regis is the first residential condominium tower to be launched and opened within The Upper East specifically located in the eastern part of Bacolod City that used to be the Bacolod-Murcia Milling Company compound.

With a total land area of 2,289 square meters, the 12-storey tower has 11 residential levels and a parking area at the ground floor and basement.

“The turnover will be per floor,” Palmares-Fong also said.

The amenities include adult pool, kiddie pool, pool deck, daycare, events hall, fitness lounge, yoga and zumba area, pool lounge, male and female shower rooms, toddlers play area and walkway landscape.

Among the building facilities and services, meanwhile, are automatic heat and smoke detection and fire sprinkler system for all units, overhead tank and underground cistern for ample water supply, standby power generator for selected common areas, building administration and security office, three passenger elevators, security command center, audio-phone security system, centralized mailroom, closed-circuit television monitoring and retail areas.

Of the total units, 170 are studio type.

There are 20 executive studio units, 15 studio units with lanai, 108 one-bedroom units, six one-bedroom with lanai, and nine two-bedroom units.

Megaworld Vice President for Public Relations and Media Affairs Harold Brian Geronimo, who was also present at the media tour, said that the entire The Upper East will serve as one of the major venues for this year’s MassKara Festival this October.

Megaworld is one of the major sponsors, Geronimo said, adding that the specific activities will be announced soon by the festival organizer.

The Upper East is one of the two township development projects of Megaworld in Negros Occidental totaling to a P35-billion investment portfolio in the province.

Of the amount, P28 billion was for its The Upper East township project, while P7

billion was for Forbes Hill at the Northill Gateway bordering the cities of Bacolod and Talisay.

As it continues to ramp up its developments in Bacolod City, the property developer earlier broke ground for the construction of what is poised to become the country's most beautiful McDonald’s inside The Upper East.

Geronimo earlier announced that they are opening McDonald’s The Upper East in October in time for the MassKara Festival celebration.
