Capitol distributes cash assistance to ALS passers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Provincial government of Pampanga distributed cash and food assistance to 550 Alternative Learning System (ALS) passers in the town of Magalang and the City of Mabalacat this Monday, August 30.

The Provincial Library, in collaboration with the Provincial Treasurer's Office (PTO) and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), managed the distribution of P1,000 and 5 kilos of rice, 5 canned sardines, and 5 canned corned beef to the beneficiaries.

The ALS Program is a parallel learning system that provides a practical option to the existing formal instruction for Filipino out-of-school children, youth, and adults (OSCYAs).

The provincial government has given out some P6,184,000 financial assistance to Alternative Learning System learners (ALS) for 2021.

The total assistance given to ALS learners in the last three years of Pineda’s term has reached P9,330,000.

Other officials who attended the event were 1st District Board Member Benny Jocson and Magalang Mayor Malu Lacson.
