A DRIVER of an e-bike and his two passengers were injured after they were hit by a multicab in Sitio Riverside, Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City early Thursday morning, Sept. 1, 2022.
They were identified as Ruel Tabelon, a 43-year-old resident of Barangay Poblacion, and Timotheo Baron, 56, and his wife Maria Lilibeth, 54, who reside in Barangay San Roque.
According to Patrolman Earl Danford Ignacio, traffic investigator of the Talisay City Police Station, Tabelon was ferrying the couple home when the multicab driven by Ferllan Rosagaran, a 26-year-old resident of Sitio Atisan in Barangay Cansojong, struck them past 4 a.m.
During initial investigation, it was learned that Rosagaran had been drinking and fell asleep on the wheel.
After hitting the e-bike, Rosagaran’s multicab also struck a taxi that was parked by the side of the road.
Rosagaran, who is detained at the Talisay City Police Station, will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to multiple physical injuries. (BBT)
