A TEENAGER was arrested for the crime of child sexual molestation in a law enforcement operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Police Colonel John Francis Encinareal, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Reyniel Macaranas, 18, a resident of Zamboanga City.
Encinareal said Macaranas was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of a warrant of arrest around 10:50 a.m. Thursday in Purok 7, Zambowood village, Zamboanga City.
Macaranas, who allegedly raped a child, has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no recommended bail issued by a local court.
The case against the suspect was pursued by the aunt of the child victim. (SunStar Zamboanga)
