The distribution was held on Wednesday afternoon, August 31, 2022, in a compound in Sitio Crossroad, Barangay Poblacion, Cordova town on Mactan Island, Cebu and was headed by Nap Lachica Jr., operations manager of Saturn Gaming N' Corporation, with the assistance of the Philippine Charity Sweepstake Office (PCSO) and Ako Bisaya partylist.
Janette Pasicaran, monitoring and coordinating officer of the said company, disclosed that the gift-giving activity was their way of "sharing their blessings across the
community."
Aside from the food assistance, Pasicaran said they also provided burial and medical assistance when an employee's family member dies or gets sick respectively.
"We will give help especially to our ushers, coordinators and runners who are in need," said Pasicaran.
Together with the PCSO and Ako Bisaya, the company has also been conducting a milk feeding program every week for the 120 children beneficiaries in Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu.
The children beneficiaries were also given deworming tablets and personal hygiene kits as part of the company's nutrition program.
Saturn Gaming also distributed school supplies and conducted capacity trainings about disaster preparedness and basic life support as part of their community service
program.
"For those beneficiaries of the milk feeding program, the Ako Bisaya Partylist supplied their soaps for handwashing and hygiene kits," Pasicaran said.
After the onslaught of typhoon Odette on December 16, 2022, the company also distributed aid to the affected residents in Cebu.
Saturn Gaming said that their community outreach program is their way of giving to the community who supported the PCSO's legal numbers game.
