City agriculture office receives 4 trucks

THE Zamboanga City Government has turned over Monday, September 5, 2022, four dropside trucks to the City Agriculturist Office.

The trucks were purchased in 2021 at a cost of P2.5 million each for a total of P10 million for the four units.

At the same time, the Department of Agriculture has turned over to the different farmer associations in the city's six agricultural districts 27 knapsack sprayers, 600 packs of 8-in-1 vegetable seeds, two units of corn shellers and one unit of cassava grater to help improve the productivity of farmers.

Mayor John Dalipe said both the trucks and the farm inputs will complement his administration's desire to achieve agricultural growth and ultimately reduce poverty.

City Agriculturist Carmencita Sanchez said the trucks will boost the delivery of services to farmers in the city. (SunStar Zamboanga)
