THE two-day 24th Davao Agritrade Expo (Date) 2022 set on September 29 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang Premier aims to harness the unlimited possibilities of the country's agribusiness sector.

Date chair Cherrylin Casuga says the expo will feature innovations and solutions to address the challenges faced by the agribusiness sector.

"It would be a perfect avenue to learn from companies that are offering technologies that would massively help striving agripreneurs to be resilient and innovative," she said.

The embassy of India has shown its support by bringing delegates to the expo. India is the world's largest producer of milk, pulses and jute and ranks as the second largest producer of rice, wheat, sugarcane, groundnut, vegetables, fruit and cotton. It is also one of the leading producers of spices, fish, poultry, livestock and plantation crops.

Date 2022 is a date among farmers, innovators and international companies and government agencies with a common goal, Casuga said.

In an earlier event, Casuga Integrated Farm School, operated by Casuga and his partner Narciso Ponce Jr., emerged as one of the top ten performers in the country

during the Go Negosyo MSME Summit of the Department of Trade and Industry at the Manila Hotel last August 27.

Graced by no less than President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Jr., the summit recognized the outstanding efforts of micro-small-medium enterprises (MSME) in the country.

Casuga Integrated Farm School was lauded for its Angat Lahat Story for continuously inspiring fellow Filipinos in taking the route towards entrepreneurship.

"Truly an insipiring day to be with inspiring people, giving hope to Filipino Entrepreneurs," she said.

"Congratulations Go Negosyo for another successful MSME Summit and thank you very much for making me part of Go Negosyo Go Negosyo’s Most Inspiring MSMEs Awards." CEA
