LUBAO The 4th Malaysia Ambassador Cup was held at Pradera Verde Golf Course in this town yesterday.
Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines Norman Muhamad led the launching of the event with a ceremonial tee-off witnessed by participants from the Embassy of Malaysia and partners from the private sector.
Muhammad said the annual sports event is aimed at gathering the Embassy’s partners in Malaysia and the Philippines for a day-long fellowship.
“We started this in 2019 and I am surprised to see how big the number of participants have grown this year, especially that the restrictions due to the pandemic have been eased,” he said.
Muhammad expressed gratitude to the Malaysian and Filipino business community for their support to the programs of the Embassy.
Among the private firms who have shown support and participated in the activity was the Laus Group of Companies.
The automotive company was among the sponsors of the hole-in-one competition.
“Their support and participation in this activity show that they accept me as a partner. I’m really happy that they see me not just a man from the Embassy but as their partner,” Muhammad said.
